The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has asked the leadership of Parliament to cancel its new 450-seater parliamentary chamber project.
According to him the NPP are surprised a decision that has been taken in parliament by the leadership has received an opposition by the same members of the house.
Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ programme, General Secretary of the party, John Boadu explained that though a cabinet approval has not been given to the project, they should stop the project immediately since majority of Ghanaians are not in support of it.
“You see members of the National Democratic Congress are just a bunch of hypocrites who do not want the country to develop.”
“How can you agree in principle about a project and later come out to disagree on the same project?” he asked.
“I believe strongly that if this project is stopped, it will bring some respite to Ghanaians,” he added.
