The CEO and founder of Radio Gold Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie has died, Big Family Radio has learnt. Mr Baffoe-Bonnie commonly known as Baboo died on Monday, February 1, 2020.

Coronavirus: Government Expenditure Hits Record GH¢92.2 Billion in 2020 – Report

Government total expenditure for last year rose by 31.5% to hit a record GH¢ 92.2 billion due to the impact of COVID-19 but comes with a greater cost to the economy. According to Fitch Solutions, the research arm of the international rating agency, Fitch, the huge increase in government spending as a result of the impact of COVID-19 on the economy, expanded the financing gap by far. It is expected that the fiscal deficit ended the year by a little over 13% of Gross Domestic Product. But that was as a result of COVID-19 spending in which government provided stimulus package in the form of subsidies and direct supports for local households.

Soldiers Have No Business Carrying Bags of Lawyers – Prof Gyampo 'Wails'

Professor Ransford Yaw Gyampo says it is not the duty of any soldier to be carrying the bag of a private legal practitioner to court. According to him, their core duty is to defend the territorial integrity of the country, which does not include “body-guarding civilian appointees”. Prof Ransford Gyampo’s comments come after photos of a military man in camouflage uniform carrying the books and bag of Lawyer Frank Davis, a private legal practitioner, went viral on social media.
